Leanne and I were nominated for veterinary nurse and vet of
the year respectively. This is a very prestigious competition
run each year by Petplan, who liken it to the Oscars! While
we did not win I cannot tell you how immensely flattered we
both were just to be nominated.
I
personally have never even known of a vet put forward for
this prize, and it was great that Leanne's hard work is appreciated,
nurses can sometimes seem like the "backroom boys"
and in reality it's the nurses who make a practice and I was
delighted that clients realise what a star she is!
The
whole thing is anonymous, so I would like to just give a huge
thank you to everyone who voted for either of us. I really
am so flattered as to be speechless.

is National microchipping month and also Vaccination Amnesty
month.
Also
if your cat or dog has lapsed their vaccinations by a month
or more they can get fully covered for the cost of a booster.
