Surgery

CVS offers excellent veterinary care with surgery facilities utilising state-of-the-art equipment, including the very latest blood analysers, pulseoximeter and ECG.

We use what most vets would regard as the safest and fastest anaesthetic protocols available so that your pet can return home speedily with minimal "hangover" effects. All this enables even the very elderly pet to be safely anaesthetised and monitored by a qualified nurse backed up by the latest equipment.

Nursing care for your pet as they recover from their operation. No one likes to be in hospital, but as far as possible we make our patients as comfortable as we can with intense nursing care and veterinary attention.

Should your pet need an overnight or extended stay with us then we can offer recovery and care facilities that will provide your pet with the right surroundings and personal care that will support a full and speedy recovery.

We also have some of the finest laboratory equipment so that we can assess our patients in minutes rather than having to send samples out and wait for the results.

Where we feel it is appropriate we refer cases to some of the best surgeons in the country. If we feel that other equipment, e.g. Lasers, are required we do the best for the patient even if it means referring the case on.

We understand how worrying it is when your pet requires surgery, whether it be a "routine" operation like neutering, a more complex procedure or even emergency treatment. We can take some of that worry away by reassuring you that your pet will receive the best possible care whilst they are with us. Our blend of expertise and knowledge, together with our modern facilities mean your pet (and you) will receive the personal attention you both deserve.

If you are ever in any doubt about what procedure is to be carried out please speak to us and if we have not already fully clarified it with you then please say so, we want you to understand the procedure and its risks; it's often a lot less frightening if you understand what is going on.
