Waifs, Strays & Rehoming...
You will find below details of some of the
recent wildlife cases we have helped with. We also help rehome
cats and dogs and who after their treatment with us need caring
new homes. If you would like to offer one of our waifs and
strays a new home then please contact the surgery to discuss
the options.
Sparrowhawk
This Sparrowhawk flew into a window and came in concussed.
He just needed tender loving care for the shock and
left us shortly after. Quite a sight on a garden fence
in the town centre.

Bearded Dragon
This bearded dragon was unwanted by his owner. Unfortunately
many of these exotic pets have complex probelsm by the
time they reach a vet. Louis had a calcium deficiency
which we have remedied and has come on well now his
diet has been adjusted.

Milo
Milo was brought in as a stray, at the time the dog
warden had no space for him and he had a dreadful case
of mange. We sorted out his problems and then introduced
him to his new owner, he is a terrific dog and very
fortunate to have such a loving home.

Alfie
Alfie rabbit was rehomed to us as he has such appalling
teeth that he is hardly able to eat. He now has regular
dental attention, and will need it for the rest of his
life.

Hedgehog
Hedgehogs are regularly brought in, often injured or
underweight, some like this chap get well fed and then
find new gardens to inhabit.
